THE PRESENT STATE OF THE AFRICAN SAVANNAH GRASSLAND HABITAT AND WILDLIFE

"…… we found from our data collection and research that Ground Hornbills had lost 66% of their habitat during the past 15 years to increased non-indigenous tree plantations and ever enlarging rural communities. In 2009 we collected genetic samples in the national reserves in Kenya and found a different reason that is terrifying and depressing for the perhaps hopeless survival of wildlife in this famous tourist centre. These not only affect the extinction of 'our' species but the other Savannah animals - white rhino, cheetah, wild dog and so on. "
